How to Use Alexa App for iPad

Changing Wifi network on your Alexa device
  • To change the Wifi network on your Alexa device, first, you have to download the Alexa app for iPad or any device you are using whether it is iPhone or Android. 
  • Next, you have to synchronize the Alexa app with your Amazon Alexa account. 
  • Next, open the app and click on ‘Devices’ which is available in the right corner of your screen. 
  • Here, you will see your devices. Now, first, select the device and next choose the Wifi connection and click on change. 
  • After this, you will see a display that inquires if the Amazon device is plugged into a power source or not. If yes, then you will see an orange color light that indicates that the device is pairing with the Alexa app. 
  • And if you don’t see any orange color light, then press and hold the action key with a dot in the center, available on the device, till you see that orange color light. 
  • Once the orange light appears, it means that your Alexa-enabled device is now in pairing mode and ready to pair. 
  • You need to know that you will have access to the Wifi networks on the Alexa app only when the device is paired. 
  • In the next step, you can reset the Wifi on your Alexa by choosing the wireless network you desire to use. In the end, you have to enter the right password for the authentication. 
How to use Alexa on your iPad
  • In order to use Alexa on your iPad or iPhone, first, you have to download and install the Alexa app. 
  • Now, open the Alexa app on your iPad. 
  • After this, click on the Alexa icon presented at the top.
The first time you access this feature, you have to grant Alexa some permission on your iPad such as whether to allow Alexa to use your camera, location data, and microphone. Press allow when needed. 
Go hands-free
If you are looking to use Alexa without having to press any icon on the app, choose turn on for hands-free mode. You can deactivate this whenever you want from the settings menu presented under ‘Alexa on this phone.  

After granting permissions, the screen will dim, and a blue bar also appears at the bottom with an icon once you press the Alexa button in the app. Here, you can ask or speak anything you want to Alexa.
